This chair is a special short-run edition to celebrate our bicentennial this year, and pulls in features and design elements from each of the previous generations of our chairmakers. Made from the local “hardwoods at hand”, and painted in either classic “Daniel Tappan Red” (between chocolate and wine) or “Daniel Tappan Green” (dark hunter green), the colors Daniel used on his chairs in the mid-1800's and which can also be seen on his lathe (pictured). Made with a smoked reed splint style seat, this is the ideal Tappan for a sheltered porch!
As with all of our chairs this year, 10% of all proceeds go to local non-profits
$100 from EACH SALE will go to support the newly opened HILL PEOPLE VINEYARD, which is owned and operated by our previous-generation chairmaker, Gunnar Berg!
