This stately end chair–with four slats above and three rungs below the seat–is among the youngest of Tappan Chairs’ styles, at a youthful 30 years old! A synthesis of its predecessor in the 1990’s and a “new” historically-based platform developed in 2014 for the Tappan Rocker, this graceful tall chair makes its presence known and noted at the table. For a full setting, a side chair version is also available. Shown with walnut posts, cherry slats, arms and rungs, and with a butternut checkerboard weave.
